Account Deletion

Delete your VoyaGo account and data.

1. Delete Your Account From Inside The App

The fastest way to permanently delete your VoyaGo account is from inside the app on the device you signed in with:

  1. Open VoyaGo and sign in if you are signed out.
  2. Tap the Profile tab in the bottom navigation.
  3. Tap the Settings icon (gear) in the top right.
  4. Scroll to the bottom and tap Delete Account.
  5. Confirm the action when prompted. Your account and the data listed below are permanently removed.

The deletion is immediate and cannot be undone. If you change your mind later you can create a fresh VoyaGo account, but your previous stamps, journal entries, crew connections, and chat history will not be recoverable.

2. Request Deletion By Email (No Device Access)

If you no longer have the app installed, lost access to your account device, or cannot sign in, you can request deletion by email instead.

Send an email to support@voyagoo.app from the email address linked to your VoyaGo account. Use the subject line "VoyaGo account deletion request" and include:

  • The email address attached to your VoyaGo account.
  • The sign-in method you used (Google, Apple, or Email).
  • Your captain name inside the app, if you remember it.

We verify ownership using the email you contact us from, then complete the deletion within 30 days. You will receive a confirmation email once the deletion has been processed.

3. What Gets Deleted

When you delete your VoyaGo account, the following is permanently removed from our systems:

  • Account identifiers (Firebase Auth user, email, display name, captain name).
  • Your public crew profile (avatar, city, rank, badges, displayed stats).
  • Your Kai chat history and any AI conversation memory tied to your account.
  • Your stamps, journal entries, and digital passport progress.
  • Your wishlists, followed travelers, and crew chat threads you sent.
  • Notification tokens registered to your account.
  • Active and pending crew connection requests.

4. What May Be Retained

A small amount of information may be retained for legal, security, or anonymized analytics reasons:

  • Anonymized, aggregated usage statistics that no longer identify you (for example: total monthly active travelers in a country). These cannot be traced back to your account.
  • Subscription and purchase records held by Apple, Google Play, or RevenueCat. These payment records are governed by the platform's own policies and are required for tax and refund handling for the period required by applicable law.
  • Records we are legally required to keep (for example: fraud prevention, security incident logs, or compliance evidence). These are minimized and access-restricted.
  • Backups created before your deletion request, which are routinely overwritten within 30 days.

None of the retained information is used to identify you personally inside VoyaGo after deletion.

5. Subscription Cancellation Is Separate

If you have an active VoyaGo Pro subscription, deleting your VoyaGo account does not automatically cancel the subscription with the app store that processed your payment. To stop future billing, cancel the subscription from your store account:

  • Google Play: Play Store app → Profile icon → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → VoyaGo → Cancel subscription.
  • App Store: Settings app → your name at the top → Subscriptions → VoyaGo → Cancel.

6. How Long Deletion Takes

In-app deletion is immediate for the live database. Replicas and short-term backups are cleared within 30 days of the request. Email requests are confirmed and processed within 30 days of the day we receive a verified request.
